1 · Purpose and framework

A role to turn the proposal into revenue.

The Sirocco proposal aims to grow beyond court rental with five new lines. Each one needs someone to sell it, launch it and sustain it. This document sets out the pay for that role: a full-time Business Development Director reporting directly to the owners.

Challenges the role takes on

  • Players: launch Sirocco Performance and turn the first clients into memberships.
  • Sports-tourism groups: turn the group trips Sirocco already organises into Holistic Padel Weeks and sell them to agencies, clubs and organisers in Sweden and Northern Europe.
  • Companies: close annual and multi-year people-development projects.
  • Schools: open the Sirocco Next Gen pathway with local schools.
  • Occupancy: fill off-peak hours and the low season.

Day-to-day work

  • Prospecting, visits and negotiation with agencies, companies and schools.
  • Package and price design with the owners.
  • Coordination with the coaching team so that every group and client gets what was promised.
  • Presence at trade fairs and on sales trips.
  • Monthly report on pipeline, sales and collections.
2 · Market study

What is paid in Spain for this role.

Sources vary widely by company size. Figures of 65,000 to 95,000 € apply to medium and large companies; for an independent padel club, the reasonable reference is a sales director at a sports-sector SME, at the upper end given the profile's experience.

4 · Commission on new revenue

Paid on what the club collects.

Base

Revenue collected, excl. VAT, from the new lines won or launched by the role: Performance memberships, Holistic Padel Weeks, company projects, school programmes and agreements with agencies and clubs. Court rental and lessons that already existed do not count.

Rules

  • 7% up to the annual target (300,000 € in year one) and 10% on the excess.
  • Commission cap: 80% of the fixed salary (40,000 €).
  • Settled quarterly, only on amounts collected.
  • If a client cancels or an amount is refunded within the following 90 days, it is deducted from the next settlement.

How the 300,000 € is reached (working assumptions)

Sirocco Performance100 memberships × 80 €/month × 1296,000 €
Holistic Padel Weeks8 weeks × 14 people × 900 € (club share)100,800 €
Companies4 annual projects × 15,000 €60,000 €
Schools2 schools × 20,000 €40,000 €
Total296,800 €

These are assumptions to size the target, not forecasts: the new lines have no price or demand history yet. The target is set with the owners at signing and reviewed every year.

5 · Quarterly challenges

Four challenges a year, tied to the proposal.

Each quarter has three objectives. With all three met, 2,000 € is paid; with two, 1,000 €. Paid with the payroll of the month after the quarter closes. Example for 2027, to be adjusted to the start date:

Quarter 1

Launch

  • Performance launched with 40 active memberships.
  • 2 Holistic Week groups signed.
  • Contact with 20 priority agencies and clubs in Sweden and Northern Europe.
Quarter 2

First contracts

  • 3 companies with a signed annual project.
  • 1 school with a pilot for the 2027-28 school year.
  • 4 groups delivered or signed.
Quarter 3

Low season

  • +15% off-peak occupancy compared with quarter 1.
  • 6 group weeks signed for autumn and winter.
  • 2 agreements with foreign agencies or clubs.
Quarter 4

Consolidation

  • 70% or more of Performance memberships renewed.
  • 2 schools in the programme for the school year.
  • 2028 commercial plan approved by the owners.
6 · Annual bonus

Rewards meeting targets and rewards beating them more.

What it means for Sirocco in each scenario.

The cost to Sirocco includes the employer social security contribution (30.65%) on pay, up to the maximum annual base of 61,214 €; it excludes the occupational accident contribution, which depends on the activity. The weight of the role falls as revenue grows: it is highest at start-up and in the prudent scenario.

Option A · Full fixed salary from the start

50,000 € fixed from day one. Commission of 7% up to the target and 10% on the excess.

More certainty for the role and more fixed cost at start-up.

Option B · Stepped

45,000 € fixed at the start and 55,000 € once new revenue exceeds 300,000 € a year. Commission of 8% up to the target and 11% on the excess.

Lower fixed cost at start-up and more weight on results.

9 · Benefits, terms and review

Clear rules from day one.

Benefits

  • Private health insurance.
  • Business development travel and accommodation (trade fairs and visits to agencies and clubs abroad), within an approved annual budget.
  • Access to the club's courts and services.

Terms and governance

  • Permanent full-time employment contract, with the statutory probation period.
  • Annual objectives, weights and challenges set in writing with the owners at the start of each year.
  • Monthly tracking of pipeline and collections with the club's accountants.
  • Annual review of the band, target and percentages, and an extraordinary review if revenue stays below the prudent scenario for two consecutive quarters.
  • Start date, applicable collective agreement and contractual details: to be defined with the employment adviser.

Assumptions and caveats

  • Scenario revenues are assumptions to size the proposal, not club forecasts.
  • Salary references come from public portals and guides from 2026 and vary by company size and sector.
  • Contribution rates are those of Order PJC/297/2026; to be confirmed with the accountants.
  • This document is a starting proposal for negotiation; it is not a job offer or legal or tax advice.
